Anniston, AL – On Saturday, June 1st, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the Realize Your Self-Worth Everyday (R.Y.S.E.) Youth Mentoring Program, in collaboration with the Anniston Housing Authority, will host the ‘Up Against Violence’ event at Zinn Park. Sponsored by the Coosa Valley RC&D Council, this free event aims to bring the community together to address and combat violence, particularly among youth.
The ‘Up Against Violence’ event will feature a variety of activities and resources designed to promote peace, safety, and self-worth among young people. Attendees can expect engaging activities and speakers all focused on fostering a supportive and violence-free environment.
The Anniston Housing Authority is co-hosting the event to further its commitment to improving the quality of life for residents. The Anniston Housing Authority aims to provide a safe and nurturing environment for families, and this event is an extension of those efforts.
