Anniston, AL – The ANSC–Calhoun Business Expo will take place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering the community a full day of free workshops, networking opportunities, and local vendor shopping. The event will be held with the goal of connecting residents to tools for career advancement, business development, and financial growth.
The schedule features presentations from local organizations and professionals on topics including resume and interview skills, entrepreneurship, investing, and trade or college program options. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn how to become a vendor at trade shows and conventions.

11:00 a.m. – JSU Small Business Development Center: Support for current and prospective business owners, presented by Taylor Finley.

11:45 a.m. – Anniston Financial Center: Understanding life insurance and retirement planning with B.J. Colbert.

12:30 p.m. – Kingdom Leadership Development: Investment strategies with Paul Sharp and Caleb Lopes.

1:15 p.m. – Fort McClellan Credit Union: Financial basics and budgeting tips from Tanisha Wright.

2:15 p.m. – Kingdom Leadership Development: The “3 Rules of Money” and community-focused financial growth, presented by Paul Sharp.

3:00 p.m. – Career Preparation Part 1: Resume building guidance from Willona Edwards.

4:00 p.m. – Anniston City Schools: Career pathways for students and young adults, with Dr. Judetta Cowden.

5:00 p.m. – Career Preparation Part 2: Interview skills and preparation, led by Willona Edwards.
Alongside the educational sessions, visitors can shop original products from local vendors and enjoy offerings from area bakers, cafés, and chefs.
