Oxford, AL – Associated MetalCast celebrated the opening of its newest facility in Oxford on Thursday, Aug. 27, marking a $6.25 million investment and an expansion expected to add 50 jobs in the community.
The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at its new facility at 5480 McIntosh Road in the McIntosh Industrial Park. The expansion represents the latest investment by Associated MetalCast, which was founded in Oxford in 1998.
Associated MetalCast operates U.S.-based manufacturing facilities in Oxford and provides precision machining, component assembly, castings and inventory management services to customers across a variety of industries. According to the company, its operations encompass approximately 260,000 square feet of climate-controlled manufacturing and warehouse space.
The company provides sourcing and manufacturing services involving both ferrous and non-ferrous castings, precision-machined components, assembly and inventory management.
Thursday’s ceremony also included recognition of Associated MetalCast founder Ron Douglas. As part of the event, the entrance road serving the new facility was officially named Ron A. Douglas Way in his honor.
The $6.25 million expansion is expected to create 50 additional skilled manufacturing jobs in Oxford, adding to the company’s existing operations in the area.
Representatives of the Calhoun County Economic Development Council were among those recognizing the expansion. The council, led by Executive Director Don Hopper, works with existing industries and prospective companies on economic development and industrial growth throughout Calhoun County.
The opening of the McIntosh facility continues Associated MetalCast’s nearly three decades of operations in Oxford and expands its manufacturing presence in the community.
