The donation represents the largest single contribution ALEAF has received in its 12-year history. ALEAF President Tobi Burt highlighted the impact of the gesture:

“This is the largest donation in the history of ALEAF. To have a local company give back in such an unprecedented way is incredibly meaningful. These custom knives are a small token of appreciation for the everyday sacrifices our officers make to protect and serve.”

Henry Mullinax, an ALEAF board member, praised Bear & Son Cutlery for their generosity:

“This was a great donation from a very large community sponsor of law enforcement. It’s all for the officers, and we’re thrilled to make this happen.”

Andy Green, ALEAF board member and Jacksonville City Councilman, emphasized the community spirit displayed by Bear & Son Cutlery:

“It’s tremendous to see a business not only open their doors to the public but also open their hearts to support law enforcement. This demonstrates the spirit of hospitality and cooperation that makes a real difference.”

Each knife will be distributed to law enforcement officers and dispatchers as part of Police Week activities, recognizing their commitment to public safety. Bear & Son Cutlery President Ken Griffey expressed his company’s dedication to honoring those who serve:

“We do a lot with the military, police forces, and fire departments nationwide, but we are especially proud to give back here at home.”
