This engaging event coincides with National Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, which runs from October 20-26, and aims to raise awareness about the dangers of lead exposure while promoting healthy, lead-free environments for families. The festival promises a blend of educational activities and fun, making it an excellent opportunity for community members to learn about lead poisoning prevention in a festive atmosphere.
Attendees are encouraged to don fall colors or costumes, creating a vibrant atmosphere as families come together to enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day. The festival will feature informative sessions on lead poisoning prevention, resources for families, and opportunities for community engagement.
Organizers from MP2S and the West Anniston Foundation emphasize the importance of community involvement in lead prevention efforts, especially for children who are more vulnerable to lead exposure. This festival aims to empower parents and caregivers with the knowledge needed to protect their children and promote healthier living spaces.
