Bear and Sons

The storyline unfolds on Christmas Eve when a severe storm forces a conservative family with a teenage daughter to seek shelter in a café. The café’s owners, a lesbian couple with a teenage son, reveal a stark contrast in beliefs. As the characters grapple with their differences and forced cohabitation, the play becomes a platform for exploring beliefs, attitudes, and values.

“Café Christmas” is not just a play; it’s a significant step toward fostering community dialogue on LGBTQ+ issues. Both churches, known for their inclusive values, aim to encourage discussions and create awareness about the LGBTQ+ community’s rightful place in society.

The play serves multiple purposes:

1. Entertainment: A delightful mix of original and familiar Christmas music, “Café Christmas” invites audiences to reflect on faith and relationships during the holiday season.
2. Outreach: Beyond the stage, the play seeks to reach out to the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring they know they are genuinely welcome. This outreach extends to promoting inclusion and understanding in the broader community.
3. Fundraiser: “Café Christmas” doubles as a fundraiser, offering program ads to support the production. Individuals and businesses can contribute through program ads, and tickets are available both at the door and online.

Ticket Information:
– General Admission: $15 at the door ($16.81 online, including fees)
