ANNISTON, AL — The Calhoun Cleburne Children’s Center will host its first Tools for School Kickoff Event on Saturday, Aug. 1, providing school supplies, family activities and educational resources to help students prepare for the upcoming school year.
The free public event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Calhoun Cleburne Children’s Center, located at 2100 Leighton Avenue in Anniston.
According to the event announcement, school supplies will be distributed to help children in Calhoun and Cleburne counties get ready for the start of the new school year.
Families attending can also enjoy hot dogs, refreshments, light snacks and a bouncy house. The first 100 children in attendance will receive a ticket for a free snow cone from Kona Ice.
In addition to the back-to-school activities, the Children’s Center will provide prevention education focused on child abuse awareness while sharing information about its mission and services within the community.
The event is open to the public, and organizers encourage families from across Calhoun and Cleburne counties to attend.
