    • Commissioner Henderson wanted to note that she was able to attend the Quarterback Club Event. Danny Shears did a great job with that event and she really enjoyed herself and thinks it is a great organization.
    • The Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention wanted to talk to everyone about the TASTE event on November 16th at Zinn Park from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm where free burgers will be given out by Slutty Vegan. There will also be over ten vendors.
    • Audrey Maxwell, Tourism Director for the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, wanted to mention the event this weekend at the Horse Trails. Also the past weekend the Pinhoti 100. This event featured extreme runners. Another event that was very successful was the Business Awards held at the Oxford Performing Arts Center.  She wanted to congratulate all the winners.  She also noted that there are many upcoming Christmas Parades and that the Chamber website will have them listed.
    • Commissioner Shears wanted to note how fortunate the county is to have so many non-profits. He was exited to be the Captain for the Quarterback Club this year. It is a great organization started in 1946. This is the 75th anniversary. The biggest event is the raffle dinner were three $5,000 scholarships are given out. It looks like it might be possible to give out four scholarships due to the donations and raffle ticket sold. He does appreciate the support from the county and the club is open to new members.
