Calhoun County Commission Honors Law Enforcement Appreciation Week and 4-H Scholarship Recipient at Meeting

  • Alabama 4-H Foundation Scholarship
    • Dr. West and Stephen Faughn recognized Danielle Chapman on receiving a 4-H scholarship. Her future plans are to attend Garden State and enroll in the EMT program.
  • Law Enforcement Appreciation Week
    • Kim McCarson and members of the Alabama Law Enforcement Appreciation Foundation (ALEAF) received a check from the County Commission for $5,000. ALEAF will be hosting lunches Monday -Thursday for local law enforcement as well giving out over $40,000 in door prizes to celebrate National Police Week. This is the 10th year this program has served the county. They are always looking for sponsors for this week honoring law enforcement.
  • Volunteer Group from Cornerstone Church (Choccolocco Rd)

    • Terry Howell was surprised when he and members, the Goodtimers, of his church, were recognized for volunteering many hours and the Calhoun County Animal Shelter cleaning and helping that facility.
