Calhoun County Commission Hosts Electronics Recycling Day

Electronic Recycling Drive

Anniston, AL – Calhoun County residents are encouraged to clear out their closets and basements for a special event hosted by the Calhoun County Commission. On Thursday, May 9th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, the county will be holding an Electronics Recycling Day at the Calhoun County Administration Building, located at 1702 Noble Street in Anniston.

This initiative aims to provide residents with a convenient and environmentally responsible way to dispose of their unwanted electronic devices. From old computers and laptops to cell phones, TVs, cables, wires, and projectors, the event will accept a wide range of electronic items for recycling.

It’s essential to note that certain items will not be accepted. Specifically, bubble TVs, bubble monitors, and microwaves will not be eligible for recycling at this event.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of their electronic waste safely and responsibly. By participating in Electronics Recycling Day, individuals can contribute to the conservation of natural resources and help prevent electronic waste from ending up in landfills, where it can pose environmental hazards.

The drop-off location for the event will be behind the Calhoun County Administration Building. Attendees are advised to follow signage and directions provided by event staff to ensure a smooth and efficient drop-off process.

This event is part of the Calhoun County Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship within the community. By providing residents with accessible options for electronic recycling, the commission aims to make it easier for individuals to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

For more information about Electronics Recycling Day or to inquire about specific items accepted for recycling, residents can contact the Calhoun County Commission. Let’s work together to keep Calhoun County clean and green by responsibly recycling our electronic devices.
