- Eagle Cleaning Service Contract Extension Resolution – One year extension. This will be the 3rd and final extension. The total cost is $4,223 a month. – Unanimously Approved
- Jail Renovation Resolution – The current stage is at 95% completion and ready to complete the design phase. – Unanimously Approved
- December Meeting Schedule Change Resolution – Due to holidays the 12/9/21 meeting will be changed to 12/16/21 and the 12/23 meeting will be canceled. – Unanimously Approved
- Public Comments
- Patricia Anderson from the Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention, wanted everyone to know the Recovery Rocks Program is continuing. She also wanted to make evyone aware of the TASTE event on November 16th that will be held at Zinn Park. There will be free burgers, music, & prevention services.
- Audrey Maxwell from the Calhoun Chamber of Commerce spoke about the recent events such as the Canine Biathlon and the Fat Tire event. She also mentioned how happy the Chamber was to partner with J.D. Hess and the commission in regards to the horse trails.
- Kim Boyd with the Chamber of Commerce thanked Lee Patterson for coming to the recent lunch with Laurens van Doeveren, the Deputy Consul General of the Netherlands. The visiting group wanted to meet local business people and are interested in the horsetrails and a proposal for potential business in the County.
- David West wanted to remind everyone that the County Fair is going on and will be open through Sunday. The livestock show is set for Saturday, so don’t miss it.
- Commissioner J.D. Hess invited all to drive by Woodland Park this weekend to see the girls softball tournament and take note of all the car tags from various states.
- Myles Chamblee of the Calhoun County EMA spoke regarding the recent decrease in COVID numbers. There are currently only 14 in RMC and zero in Stringfellow. There are also only 39 new cases this week in Calhoun County. He did advise to continue to practice social distancing and be mindful of any symptoms you may experience.
- Commissioner Danny Shears wanted to take a moment to thank the representatives from ASAP for their work each day. He appreciates everything they do.
