      • Contract extended for three years.
    • ABS Maintenance Agreement – Sheriff Copiers & Printers – Unanimously Approved
      • Amount $20,950 for annual software agreement.
    • Grant Application Resolution – Juvenile Justice Program Grant Application – Unanimously Approved
      • The cost is $50,000 per year. This is for the Juvenile Justice Grant for better decision making. Roughly 120 youth participate a year in this program.
    • Surplus Resolution/Donation – Commissioner of Licenses – Unanimously Approved
      • Decliration of 2004 Crown Victoria to be declared surplus and then donated to the Sheriff’s Department.
    • Retiree Longevity Bonus Legislation Resolution – Unanimously Approved
      • Legislation was passed for all that retired prior to March 1, 2021 to receive a one time bonus of $24 for each year worked.
        • Commissioner Hess noted that this is a long time coming and just a small portion of what he wished the Commission could do.
    • Road Vacation Resolution – Unnamed Street Off Pine Manor Road (District 4) – Unanimously Approved
      • Rodney McCabe spoke that about this unmaintained and never constructed road. the residents have requested this be vacated and have followed all the procedures.
  • Public Comments
    • Dr. West spoke about 4H Camp. There are two groups going. One will be a group of 25 and one of 30.
    • Audrey Maxwell of the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce mentioned dot upcoming Job Fair that is coming up. She mentioned that there are over 50 businesses that will be present. Many will be doing interviews onsite and there may be hiring on site as well. She stressed to bring resumes. She also noted that June is a busy month with many tournaments coming up as well.
    • Commissioner Hess mentioned that Woodland Park is getting a facelift with new lights, landscaping, and also painting of the exterior buildings. He also mentioned that 37 teams were present last week and currently 34 are planned for this week.
    • Commissioner Shears noted that, “Our parks are the front porch for our visitors.” Often when they come to visit the parks are all they see so upkeep is very important. He also encouraged all to greet visitors, recommend a restaurant, and always be willing to volunteer. He also mentioned that a recent visitor from Phoenix, AZ said he was going to retire to Oxford because it was so beautiful and the people so nice.
    • Ed Turner with the Water Authority thanked the Commission for there continued support and said he was excited about the Wellborn tank that was in the design phase.
    • Corey McWhorter with Regions Bank thanked the County for the trust in moving their banking services and stressed he was always there for questions.
    • Christopher Abernathy with ASAP spoke about the gift of flight that was  successful event and they look forward to doing it again next year.
    • Danny Shears wanted to acknowledge and thank Code Enforcement, Reggie Stewart, for the outstanding work he does and noted how kind and supportive he was, but also that he got the work completed.
    • Commissioner Hess also wanted to not that the Riffle Team will be going to Nationals and they will be practicing in the expo building as well. He also said the horse trails are still doing well.
