Oxford, AL – Yesterday, the Calhoun County Economic Development Council orchestrated Industrial Educator Tours, providing approximately 150 teachers from Oxford City Schools with insights into the vibrant landscape of manufacturers that contribute significantly to job opportunities in Calhoun County.
The initiative was aimed to bridge the gap between educators and the diverse range of industries operating within the county, fostering connections that play a crucial role in developing the area’s future workforce. Several existing industries generously opened their doors, showcasing their operations and highlighting the integral role they play in the local economy.
The participating industries that welcomed teachers during the tours included Aerospace Coatings International, Associated MetalCast, LLC, Auto Custom Carpets, Inc., Bridgewater Interiors Corporate Page, Doncasters Southern Tool, FabArc, Kronospan USA Careers, and Tape Craft.
