Calhoun County, AL – In the landscape themes of many gardeners they select garden art as focal points. Whether the art in the landscape is rustic or modern, casual or conservative. My preference is Country Cottage Rustic. I like a relaxed, colorful choice in garden art. Such as the marbles inside a concrete decorative watering Pedastal. The marbles allow the bees to sip without drowning, and are colorful. A metal enameled weather vane spinning on a windy days, yielding vertical eye focus toward the trees. A orange painted ice cream table to display a favorite potted outdoor plant. A horseshoe nailed to a barn door. Red ceramic mushrooms placed on green moss in a shade garden. Glowing painted angels hidden inside hydrangea, to create a pop of color in the silent shade garden. The choices are endless in garden art. It is nice to walk a garden pathway then turn a corner with a displayed garden art surprise! These strategic places of garden art items can elevate the viewers experience in the garden landscape. Garden art is much more than arbors, stepping stones, trellises, benches and gazebos. My suggestion is to pick a theme and continue that theme by using garden art surprises. By placing the colorful art within the landscape next to muted tones the gardener increases the eye appeal for visitors. The ideas or choices are endless!
