Calhoun County Gardening – Support Your Local Co-op: Gardening Tips and Must-Have Supplies for 2025

Organic Products At Alabama Farmers Cooperative Stores

Calhoun County, AL – I wanted to give a big applause to my local Co-op. Jacksonville Farmers Co-op always supports me as an organic buyer & consumer. I have been using organics in gardening since 1998. And you can find some of the items in the photographs I am including in this article at big box stores. January is a good time to start purchasing your garden supplies. Why wait until Spring and buyers have wiped out the supply of the one item you needed? Yes! The stores will reorder. However, when I am on my mission to complete my list, it annoys me to be shorted & waste time returning another day. Some of the items I suggest do not have to be a specific brand name. I buy based on price not on the brand. Here are some of the faithful product items I use in seasonal gardening: Blood Meal, Bone Meal, Snail Pellets, Diatomaceous Earth, Neem Oil, and Fish Fertilizer. And when I teach gardening classes, I use these products as displays to educate attendees.  I encourage you to visit your local County Co-op. If you have gardening questions my contact info is listed at the end of this article. Enjoy a great 2025 in Gardening!
