PIEDMONT — Colton Procter and Cole Wilson scored 15 points apiece, and Piedmont’s boys downed Cedar Bluff 57- on Monday to open its first season under first-year head coach Matt Glover with a victory.

Glover was promoted to replace Jonathan Odam, who stepped back from coaching to follow son and 2023 graduate Alex’s playing career at Jacksonville State.

JACKSONVILLE 53, SPRINGVILLE 36: Aaron Nixon scored 16 points to lead Jacksonville’s boys to a 53-36 victory over visiting Springville on Monday. He hit two 3-pointers and grabbed four rebounds.
