The annual meeting, themed “Fighting for Farmers,” brought together more than 1,300 farmers from all 67 Alabama counties. The two-day event highlighted agricultural advocacy, leadership development and policy discussions, while also recognizing farmers and county organizations for their contributions during the past year.

Awards were presented to farmers for both local and statewide impact, including Service to Agriculture, Senior Leader and Individual Leader honors. Numerous county farmers federations — including Calhoun County — were recognized for exceptional efforts in advocacy and programming.

Business sessions during the meeting included the selection of leaders for the Federation’s state board, commodity committees and leadership councils. Attendees also reviewed annual reports outlining organizational accomplishments, including federal agricultural assistance efforts and continued growth across Federation-affiliated programs.

The meeting concluded with reflections on leadership, service and legacy, emphasizing the role of agriculture in Alabama’s communities and the importance of preparing future generations to continue that work.
