Calhoun County, AL – Beginning Monday, August 4, 2025, contractors working on behalf of Calhoun County will begin placing the final surface treatment on Choccolocco Road. The project is expected to take approximately four days to complete, depending on weather conditions and other factors.
County officials have stated that every effort will be made to minimize traffic disruptions during the resurfacing process. Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and plan for potential delays.
Following the completion of work on Choccolocco Road, the resurfacing project will continue on several additional roads across the county. These include:

Parkwood Drive

Boiling Springs Road (from AL 144 to AL 77)

Roy Webb Road (from Foster West Road to US 278)

Old Rocky Ridge Road
