Calhoun County School Superintendent Sets Community Meetings

Calhoun County, AL – Per Calhoun County Schools during the months of January through March, Dr. Reyes will be holding a community meeting for each of the seven communities in the school system. In those meetings, Dr. Reyes will be discussing trends in student population and its effect on funding as well as future facility planning. Parents of K-12 students within each community are encouraged to attend. The meeting schedule is as follows:

  • White Plains Community – Monday, January 23 rd @ 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of White Plains (next to the High School)
  • Saks Community – Wednesday, January 25 th @ 5:30 p.m. at the Saks Middle School lunchroom
  • Alexandria Community – Wednesday, February 1 st @ 5:30 p.m. at Alexandria Middle School
  • Meetings for the remaining communities will be scheduled for later in February/March.
At the most recent County Commission meeting Dr. Reyes stressed that information was the key to success and he wanted parents and the community to nw exactly what is happening and what future plans are for the school district.
