Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Addresses Property Crimes and Seeks Public Assistance

Calhoun County, AL – In the ongoing effort to maintain public safety and protect the community, the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating recent property crimes and is seeking assistance from the public to aid in resolving these cases.

Incident 1 (1/23/24): On the morning of January 23, 2024, a Yamaha motorcycle was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Cross Creek Trail in Alexandria. Following an investigation, law enforcement identified a potential location in Talladega County. On January 25, authorities executed a operation at the identified address, leading to the arrest of Patrick Carlisle. He attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The stolen motorcycle was recovered from the property, and Carlisle now faces charges for Theft of Property 1st degree.

Incident 2 (1/25/24): On the evening of January 25, 2024, a burglary occurred at a residence in the 1200 block of Reads Mill Rd. in Wellington. Despite the property owners not being home at the time, they observed the intruder entering the home through security cameras and promptly contacted the Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded, but the offender had already fled the scene, damaging one of the cameras in the process. An ongoing investigation is underway to apprehend the suspect responsible for the burglary.

Incident 3 (1/29/24): In the morning of January 29, 2024, the Samco gas station located in the 5000 block of Hwy 204 in Jacksonville fell victim to a burglary. Two individuals, masked and wearing gray sweatshirts with hoods and gloves, arrived in a black truck. They forcefully broke the glass door, entered the premises, and stole an undetermined amount of money and tobacco products. The suspects fled westbound on Hwy 204 after completing their criminal act. Authorities are actively investigating this incident to identify and apprehend the involved individuals.
