Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is actively engaged in investigations related to recent property crimes and is reaching out to the public for assistance. By fostering community involvement, the Sheriff’s Office aims to enhance public safety and bring those responsible for criminal activities to justice.
Incident 1: Sometime in January 2024, a red 2015 Massey Furguson Tractor was stolen from a residence on New Liberty Road in Jacksonville.
Incident 2: Sometime between December 2023, and March 11, 2023, a storage unit was broken into at Security Plus Storage on Hwy 21 in Oxford. Several pieces of furniture, clothing, lawn equipment, and a Yamaha Dirt bike were stolen
Catch of the Week: – Ian Heath
On 3/20/24, deputies responded to a call for shots fired in the area of Mclean Dr in Oxford. Investigations was able to determine a possible suspect of Ian Heath. Heath came in for an interview, and admitted to the shootings. He was arrested and charged with Discharging a Firearm into an unoccupied vehicle, as well as Discharging a firearm into an occupied building.
