Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office has located fugitive, Anthony Jamichael Delaney. Delaney was arrested on outstanding warrants.
On December 12, 2022, the Jacksonville Police Department originally requested assistance locating a person of interest, Anthony Jamichael Delaney. Delaney was originally wanted for questioning regarding multiple vehicle burglary investigations where multiple firearms were stolen. Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office also had active warrants for Delaney for a probation violation for receiving stolen property and resisting arrest.
On Monday, August 28, 2023, Central Alabama CrimeStoppers received an anonymous tip that provided Delaney’s current whereabouts. Calhoun County’s Warrant Team responded rapidly to Delaney’s location and took the suspect into custody within minutes of receiving the tip.
CrimeStoppers has thanked the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, one of thier newest partners, for acting swiftly and ensuring a wanted fugitive was located and taken off the street in a timely manner.
CrimeStoppers will be providing a cash reward to the, “Brave anonymous tipster who went above and beyond to provide the whereabouts of a wanted fugitive. Thanks to this anonymous tipster’s information, Delaney was safely located and placed in police custody.”
Delaney is no longer wanted by law enforcement.
