Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is actively engaged in investigations related to recent property crimes and is reaching out to the public for assistance. Incident 1: Sometime between 4/27/24 and 4/29/24, some storage buildings were broken into at Janney Furnace Park and Museum on Janney Rd in Ohatchee. A spool of electrical wire was taken.
Incident 2: On 5/1/24 an Orange Stihl Chainsaw was stolen from a residence on Cedar Springs Rd in Jacksonville. Dr. in Piedmont. Several hoses, lines, and wires had been cut, and various parts on the engine were missing or damaged.
