Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating recent property crimes and is calling on the public for help. By encouraging community involvement, the Sheriff’s Office hopes to improve public safety and hold those accountable for these criminal activities.
Property Crime: On August 31, deputies were dispatched to an apartment complex on Post Oak Road in Alexandria about a possible burglary in progress. In a 911 call, the victim explained that an unknown man was actively breaking into his apartment. The man described the intruder as an older white male with an orange beard. He stated the man was wearing a black mask, all black clothing, and black gloves. Deputies did not make contact with the intruder but observed several items strown throughout the apartment.
