Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating recent property crimes and is calling on the public for help. By encouraging community involvement, the Sheriff’s Office hopes to improve public safety and hold those accountable for these criminal activities.
Property Crime: Sometime on 6/25 deputies responded to a theft report on McGinnis Drive where a man stated his Polaris four‑wheeler with a white and black camouflage wrap, along with a tan and black 2024 Honda four‑wheeler, had been stolen overnight from his trailer.
Catch of the Week: On June 24, deputies responded to a disturbance on Church Street in Hobson City where Melody Jenkins allegedly arrived with a firearm, confronted individuals at the residence and then fired multiple rounds before fleeing the area. Jenkins was arrested and is being charged with Attempted Assault 1st.
