Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public’s Help in Solving Recent Property Crimes as well Highlights ‘Catch of the Week’

Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating recent property crimes and is calling on the public for help. By encouraging community involvement, the Sheriff’s Office hopes to improve public safety and hold those accountable for these criminal activities.

Incident 1: **Posting for Jacksonville Police Department. Any information in relation to this case should be relayed to them at 256-435-6448**

Sometime between January 2025 and February 14, 2025, a home was broken into on Francis St in Jacksonville. A watch and financial documents were stolen.

Blackberry Hill Summer Camp

Incident 2: Sometime between April 26, 2025 and April 27, 2025, a 2005 White with blue accents Harley Davidson was stolen from a residence on Fayrene Lane in Anniston.

Catch of the Week

 

 

Catch of the Week: On April 7th, 2025, a burglary of a property that was once Lee Brass was reported to have happened between April 5th and April 7th, 2025. An approximate amount of $6,000 worth of scrap metal, to include brass and copper, along with personal protective equipment, and various other items were stolen. Detectives utilized physical evidence, as well as surveillance footage, to develop a suspect. Multiple search warrants were executed, leading to the arrest of Shan Scott Estel. Estel is charged with: Burglary 3rd, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. As always, this subject is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
