WEAVER — Stevie McGinnis went 3-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Weaver topped Piedmont 9-5 in Thursday’s high school softball action.
Anna Shirvinski also had three RBIs, going 1-for-2 with a double. She also scored a run.
Maddie Stanford went 3-for-3 with an RBI, and Caitlyn Edmondson was 2-for-3 with a double, four runs and an RBI.
Leadoff hitter Kaelyn Free went 1-for-3 with a double and scored a run,
Piedmont’s Kaelyn Greene went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run. Amarae Champion was 4-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI, and Cayla Brothers went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
Leadoff hitter Cadence Buttram went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs.
WHITE PLAINS 8, OXFORD 2: Leighton Arnold pitched a three-hitter with 10 strikeouts in seven innings, and she went 2-for-4 at the plate.
Jaylie Holt was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs, and Callie Richardson was 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs and two RBIs.
Carli Fritts had a double, a run and an RBI, and Sara-Kate Adams was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.
Kylee Provencio added a single and an RBI.
Oxford’s Madison Murphy doubled with an RBI, and Cadence Kennedy had a double and scored a run.
PLEASANT VALLEY 12, JACKSONVILLE 4: Cailey Almaroad and Ellie Patterson had four RBIs apiece as the Raiders rolled.
Almaroad was 4-for-5 with a run, and Patterson was 2-for-5.
Ava Washington went 3-for-3 with a double, three runs and an RBI, and Alexa Cranmer was 3-for-5 with two runs,
Aubree Cromer 2-for-4 with two runs, and Abigail Evans was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.
Haylie Lee pitched four innings, allowing six hits and one earned run with four strikeouts.
Sadee Pate-Whitfield led Jacksonville, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Dailyn Wood went 3-for-4 with two runs. Lacey Barnes went 2-for-4 with a triple and a run. Harper Atchley went 2-for-3.
WELLBORN 14, JCA 4: Destiny Benefield went 2-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and two runs to lead Wellborn at the plate.
Cassidy Gray was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and three runs, and Jaylyn Chattin was 2-for-3 with three runs. Gabby Tignor went 2-for-4.
The Panthers also got a single and RBI apiece from Maci Maxwell and Ryleigh Smith.
Gray got the win, working all six innings with seven strikeouts. She allowed five hits, four earned runs and two walks.
JCA’s Cali Sexton had a single, two RBIs and a run, and the Thunder got a single and an RBI from Taylor Cash.
LINCOLN 12, OHATCHEE 1: Lincoln got two RBIs apiece from Shelby Williams, Natalie Harrell and Cameron Pruitt. Williams was 2-for-4, Harrell 1-for-2 with a double, two runs and two RBIs and Pruitt 1-for-2 with a triple and a run.
Zoe Korreckt had a double and scored two runs, and Kinley Crow was 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Williams pitched all five innings, allowing six hits and one earned run with eight strikeouts.
Ohatchee’s Jordyn Faulkner went 2-for-2 with a double, and Savannah Reaves had a single and an RBI.

HOPE CHRISTIAN 8, MACON-EAST 7: Cayden Slick went 2-for-5 with three RBIs and a run, and Hope Christian won at Montgomery to record its first-ever varsity victory to improve to 1-2 in its inaugural season.
Aziah Amberson had a single, two RBIs and a run. Trevor Ryals had a single and RBI, and Eli Bozeman doubled with an RBI and a run.
Leadoff hitter Kainen Bozeman went 3-for-4 with a triple and scored three runs.
Ryals pitched 5 2/3 innings, allowing five hits, four earned runs and one walk with seven strikeouts. Eli Bozeman worked 1 1/3 innings, allowing no hits or runs with one walk and four strikeouts.
OXFORD 10, RABUN GAP 8: Hudson Gilman went 2-for-4 with two doubles, four RBIs and two runs, and Oxford scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and answer a 7-run sixth by Rabun Gap-Nacoochee (Ga.).
Ayden Noyola was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and leadoff hitter Nick Richardson was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and one RBI.
Canaan Whitman went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and Reid Maniscalco had a single, a run and an RBI.
Oxford’s rally to reclaim the lead in the bottom of the sixth featured Gilman’s two run double.
ALEXANDRIA 2, COOSA CHRISTIAN 1: Garrett Haynes had Alexandria’s lone hit, a single, but Sawyer Coggins and Jacob Slaton each scored a run for Alexandria to spoil a gem pitched by Coosa Christian’s Brody Nelson.
Nelson struck out 14 batters, allowing one hit, one walk and two unearned runs, but took the loss.
Alexandria’s Caleb Frazier allowed three hits, no runs and no walks with three strikeouts in five innings.
Jeremiah Heathcock pitched two innings, allowing two hits, no walks and one earned run with two strikeouts.
Coosa Christian’s John David Justus went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Angelo Alberghina singled and scored. Blaine West went 2-for-3.
PLEASANT VALLEY 8, OHATCHEE 3: Pleasant Valley’s Williams had a triple with two RBIs and scored a run. Peyton Mann was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, and Duncan was 2-for-2 with a double, a run and an RBI.
The Raiders also got a double and RBI from Noah Johnson and a single, RBI and a run from Will Underwood.
Ohatchee’s Alston Carroll homered and had two RBIs.
CHEROKEE COUNTY 6, JACKSONVILLE 4: Cherokee County got an RBI apiece from Carson Tittle, Nate Black, James Hunter and Evan Hill to win a close game at Jacksonville.
Tittle went 1-for-3 with a double, Black 2-for-4 with a run, Hunter 1-for-3 with a run and Hill 1-for-3.
Parker Wilson was 2-for-4 with a double and a run.
Tittle also pitched a complete game, striking out 10 batters in seven innings. He allowed four hits, one earned runs and two walks.
Jacksonville’s Drake Loggins had a single and two RBIs. John Ducar went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Matthew Salmon was 2-for-4 with a run, and Xaye Lemon was 1-for-2 with two runs.
MUNFORD 15, VICTORY CHRISTIAN 4: B Nichols had a triple and four RBIs, and Munford got three RBIs apiece from Lathan Stephens and Gatlin Watts.
Stephens was 1-for-1 with a double and three runs, and Watts was 1-for-3 with a double and a run.
B.J. Anderson drove in two runs and scored two.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 17, RANDOLPH COUNTY 1: Cleburne County’s Tyler Rucker had a single and three RBIs, and Gabriel Wickersham went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Gavin Robinson had a single, two RBIs and a run, and Aiden Laminack tripled and scored a run.
Asher Brown doubled with an RBI, and Luke Smith had a single, a run and an RBI. Easton Thompson singled and scored three runs.
Jacob Pentecost and Cody Clayton combined to hold Randolph County to three hits. Pentecost got the win, allowing two hits and no earned runs with seven strikeouts in four innings.

JACKSONVILLE — Emerson Weaver led the way with two goals, and Jacksonville’s girls’ soccer team defeated visiting Weaver 3-0 on Tuesday.
Willa Kate Walker scored the other goal. Sarah Sloughfy and Emma Easterling each recorded an assist.
Goalie Audrey Smith earned the shutout and the win.

WEAVER BOYS 2, JACKSONVILLE 1: Weaver led 2-0 at halftime, with Caleb Hotaling scoring on a penalty kick and assisting Carsyn Pippin on another goal.
Weaver goalie Joe Vines had 13 saves.
John C. Hollingsworth got Jacksonville’s goal on a Judah Jennings assist.

DONOHO 8, CLEBURNE COUNTY 0: Anna Kate Wallace scored four goals to lead Donoho.
The Falcons also got two from Isabella Romero and one apiece from Samantha Wakefield and Chloe Melton.
WHITE PLAINS BOYS 8, ETOWAH 1: Anthony Osorto scored four of White Plains’ eight goals. Jose Ramirez added two, and the Wildcats got one apiece from Caleb Goode and Landon Morrow.
White Plains’ girls played Etowah to a scoreless tie.,

PIEDMONT 13, WHITE PLAINS 1: Piedmont’s Carson Sanders and Carson Cleveland combined to allow two hits. Sanders got the win.
Brenan Hurst had a single, two runs and two RBIs, and Hayes Gunn had a single and two RBIs.
Cole Austin had a double, three runs and an RBI, and Cole Wilson went 2-for-3 with a double and a run.
The Bulldogs also got a single and RBI apiece from Brayden Estes and Kale Austin, and Cleveland drove in a run.
White Plains got a single apiece from Aiden Kilgore and Ashton Wallace, and Luke Richardson had an RBI.
WEAVER 14, FAITH CHRISTIAN 4: Weaver’s Connor Hyatt went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Landon Free went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI, and Tracen Jones had a double, three runs and an RBI.
Hyatt got the win, allowing no hits, runs of walks with three strikeouts while working the final two innings.
Faith’s Toby Ricard had a triple, a run and an RBI. Colton Reese and Dylan Rogers each had a single and RBI, and Tanner Smith drove in a run.
JACKSONVILLE CHRISTIAN 11, ANNISTON 1: Jesse Gannaway and Bryson Dowdey combined to pitch a no-hitter over five innings.
Dowdey struck out 10 batters over four innings, and Gannaway struck out the side in one inning.
Noah Lee led JCA at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs. Dowdey was 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and a run.
Gannaway went 1-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, and Grant Daffron and Jameson Holderread each had a single and RBI, and Skylar Crider singled and scored two runs.
JACKSONVILLE 17, WELLBORN 1: Kingston Peeler went 3-for-5 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs to lead Jacksonville offensively.
Jackson Bonner went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and two RBIs, and Matthew Salmon had a single and two RBIs.
The Golden Eagles also got a single and RBI apiece from Maguire Mallett, John Ducar, Drake Loggins and Sam Parker Wagoner.
Salmon got the win, allowing five hits and one walk with three strikeouts over five innings. Jackson Askew pitched a perfect inning of relief with two strikeouts.
Wellborn’s Tanner Ingram had a double and an RBI.
SAKS 27, TALLADEGA 6: Saks’ D.J. Tuck went 2-for-3 with a double, five RBIs and two runs.
Lajuan Curry was 3-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and four runs, and Jacori Avery was 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBIs.
Landen Cordy was 3-for-5 with three runs and an RBI.
Eli Willis doubled with a run and two RBIs, and Jayden Woods singled with two runs and two RBIs.
MUNFORD 5, VINCENT 2: Kane Krafthefer doubled with two RBIs and a run to lead Munford at the plate.
The Lions also got a single and a run apiece from Gatlin Watts, Trenton Stringfellow and Brody Wilson.
B.J. Anderson allowed one hit with five strikeouts in four innings of work, and Lathan Stephens allowed a hit and two earned runs with four strikeouts in three innings.

PLEASANT VALLEY 6, PIEDMONT 2: Pleasant Valley’s Haylie Lee pitched a complete game with 14 strikeouts. She also went 2-for-3 and scored two runs.
Ellie Patterson had a double, two RBIs and a run. Cailey Almaroad was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and Hanna Henry was 1-for-3 with an RBI.
The Raiders also got an RBI apiece from Elise Wheeler and Aubrey Cromer.
For Piedmont, Cacey Brothers went 2-for-3 and scored a run, and Cayla Brothers had an RBI. Carson Young hit a double.
OXFORD 12, LINCOLN 4: Madison Murphy went 2-for-4 with a triple, double, three RBIs and a run to lead Oxford’s offensive output.
Jayla Jackson also had three RBIs and two runs while going 1-for-2.
Emma Tims-Becerra had a double, two RBIs and a run, and Haleigh Pruitt was 2-for-4 with a triple, a run and an RBI.

Thomas pitched a three-hitter with four strikeouts in four innings.
RANDOLPH COUNTY 7, WINTERBORO 1: Randolph County’s Gracie Robinson had a single and two RBIs, and the Tigers took advantage of six walks and three errors. Gracie Huckeba and Khloe Yates each singled and scored a run.
Robinson allowed two hits with two strikeouts over four innings, and Lizzie Milam pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts.
PELL CITY 2, WHITE PLAINS 1: Nyla Treptau hit a triple and drove in two runs, and Addy Simmons and Savannah McGaha limited White Plains to one unearned run on six hits.
White Plains’ Carli Fritts had a single and RBI and allowed two hits, two earned runs and one walk with nine strikeouts in six innings.
WEAVER 8, CHILDERSBURG 5: Weaver’s Reyleigh Partner pitched all seven innings to pick up the win. She had eight strikeouts and an an RBI at the plate.

PLEASANT VALLEY — Pleasant Valley put up 33 runs in a home doubleheader with Weaver on Monday, winning 12-2 and 21-6.
In Game 1, Will Underwood went 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs. Logan Williams went 3-for-4 with a double, three runs and two RBIs, and Dallas Roper was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run.
Jake Barnwell pitched all five innings, striking out 10 batters while allowing two hits and one earned run.
Weaver’s Carson Campbell singled and drove in both Bearcat runs.
Pleasant Valley’s Wesley Wheeler went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs in Game 2. Roper went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs and two RBIs.
Williams went 3-for-4 with three runs and an RBI.
Nic Acker went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and one RBI, and Dixon Duncan went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Greer Laros was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs.
Underwood tripled, scored a run and added an RBI. Jackson Acker and Peyton Mann each had a single and RBI, and Mann scored four runs.
Weaver’s Landon Free had a double and two RBIs, and Tracen Jones drove in two runs. Campbell singled and drove in a run.
PIEDMONT 11, CHEROKEE COUNTY 6: Brodie Homesley went 2-for-2 with a double and four RBIs, and Piedmont topped visiting Cherokee County 11-6 in Monday’s high school baseball action.
Cole Wilson had a double and two RBIs, and Cole Austin was 2-for-3 with double, two runs and an RBI.
Aliandre Wright doubled with an RBI and scored a run.
Kale Austin singled with an RBI, and Brenan Hurst went 2-for-3 with two runs. Ben Dempsey singled and scored three runs.

LINCOLN 5, ALEXANDRIA 4: Cole East reached base on a fielder’s choice, advanced on walks to Griffin Wilson and Brayden Palmore and scored when Nicholas Catlett was hit by a pitch to give the Golden Bears the lead in the top of the seventh inning.
Christian Bean led off the at bat with a single.
East had a double, three runs and an RBI. Carson Perez and Charles Woodruff each had a single and RBI, and Kason Korreckt was 2-for-4 with a run.
Wilson got the win, striking out four batters in 2 1/3 innings of relief. He allowed two earned runs and a walk.

MUNFORD 3-4, CENTRAL-CLAY 2-5: Munford and Central-Clay split a doubleheader Monday, with Munford winning the first game 3-2 and Central-Clay winning Game 2 5-4.
Gatlin Watts and Brody Wilson combined to hold Central-Clay to seven hits and two earned runs in the first game. Wilson pitched three hitless and scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts.
Braydon Nichols singled and drove in two runs, and Wilson had an RBI. B.J. Anderson went 2-for-2 with a double and scored a run.
Central-Clay’s J.T. Wilkerson went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Taylor Boyd doubled and had an RBI.
The Vols’ Gabe Harris singled and drove in two runs in Game 2, and Kaiden Glenn drove in a run.
Nichols doubled with an RBI and a run, and Watts had a single and RBI.
CLEBURNE COUNTY 11, WOODLAND 1: Cleburne County’s Asher Brown pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts in five innings. He also led the way at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
