Alexandria, AL – Oxford goes 5-0 to win Champions Sports Academy Tournament. Ohatchee goes 4-1 on the day, Donoho 3-1. Wellborn wins silver bracket at Munford. Alexandria silver-bracket runner up in Guntersville.

Oxford won the Champions Sports Academy tournament, beating St. Clair County 24-14, 25-5, Westbrook Christian 25-22, 25-10, Jacksonville 25-21, 25-10 and Sand Rock 25-18, 25-15 to reach the finals.

Oxford beat Cherokee County 25-18, 25-13 in the final. Top performers for Oxford (16-5):

—Payton Brooks: 95 assists, eight digs.
—Ava Thomas: 31 kills, four blocks.
—Daelyn Bozeman: 16 kills, five blocks.
—Mileah Prince: 27 kills, two blocks.
—Jaslyn Montgomery: 27 kills, 11 blocks.

—Arilyn Pool: nine digs, three aces.

OHATCHEE: The Indians went 4-1 in the Champions Sports Academy Tournament in Alexandria, sweeping Coosa Christian and Donoho, losing to Cherokee County then sweeping West End-Walnut Grove and Westbrook Christian.

—Rebecca Henderson: 34 kills, six aces, 39 digs.
—Alanah Fitch: 15 kills, 64 assists, eight aces, 40 digs.
—Ayla Crook: 13 kills, five aces, 24 digs.
—Brett Finn: 12 kills, nine aces, 13 digs, four blocks.
—Mackenzie Luna: 11 kills, three blocks.
—Savannah Reaves: 22 digs, three kills.
—Ellie Carden: four aces, 28 digs.

DONOHO: Also at Champions in Alexandria, the Falcons beat Cherokee County 18-25, 25-14, 15-8, lost to Ohatchee 19-25, 20-25, beat Coosa Christian 25-11, 25-7 and beat West End-Walnut Grove 25-21, 25-20.

—Estella Connell: 22 kills, seven aces, two digs, six blocks.
—Sam Wakefield: 11 kills, five aces, 14 digs.
—Ryals Jones: Nine kills, eight blocks.
—Callie Taylor: one kill, 47 assists, six aces, five digs.
—Kate Williamon: 15 kills, four aces, 11 digs.
—Ava Michaels: three kills, one assist, two digs, one block.

WELLBORN: The Panthers went 3-1 in the Munford Lady Lions’ Classic, winning the silver bracket to improve to 11-4 on the season.

Wellborn beat Winterboro 25-17, 25-13, Benjamin Russell 25-17, 25-8 and Childersburg 25-8, 25-3. The Panthers lost to White Plains 23-25, 25-16, 11-15. Top performers for Wellborn:

—Anna Odom: 15 kills.
—Annalee Rinehard: three aces, three kills, 22 assists.
—Braelyn Bean: one kill, eight assists, one dig.
—Calla Hayes: three aces, 38 kills, nine blocks, 13 digs.

ALEXANDRIA: Playing in the Champions Tournament in Guntersville, Alexandria went 4-3, falling to Desoto Central (Miss.) 25-21, 20-25, 13-15 in the silver-bracket final.

The Valley Cubs (18-3) swept Cullman 25-10, 25-21 and Guntersville 25-19, 25-22 then lost to Class 7A top-ranked Bob Jones 16-25, 20-25 and Franklin (Tenn.) 25-20, 11-25, 9-15 in pool play.

In silver-bracket play, Alexandria swept Sylacauga 25-17, 25-17 and Fort Payne 25-17, 25-20 to get to the final.
