Catch of the week: Ladonald Phillips

On the evening of February 26th, deputies were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Choccolocco community. Evidence was developed in the course of the investigation that led to Ladonald Phillips being placed under arrest. However, Phillips was able to elude deputies, first by locking himself in the house and then by fleeing from a back door into the surrounding woods.

The next day, deputies returned to the residence to arrest Phillips. Again, seeing the approaching brown justice, Phillips began running. He was fast, but this time he could not get away from the long arm of the law. Investigators in an unmarked pickup found Phillips on Old Downing Mill Rd., exited the vehicle, and took Phillips into custody in a ditch.

Ladonald Phillips was charged with two counts of Domestic Violence 3rd and two counts of Fleeing/Attempting to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer. He was given a room at the Calhoun County Jail to further contemplate his actions
