Anniston, AL – On Sunday, January 12, 2025, the Anniston community will come together to celebrate the legacy of the Emancipation Proclamation with a theme that emphasizes unity and awareness: “Knowing Your History Prepares You for Your Future.” The event will take place at Seventeenth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama, starting at 3:00 PM.

The celebration will feature Mr. Johnny Ford as the guest speaker, a distinguished voice known for his dedication to community advancement and the promotion of historical and cultural awareness.
