Celebration of Juneteenth and 60th Anniversary of Freedom Riders

Join us Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Zinn Park (101 W 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201) from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, as we celebrate Juneteenth and the 60th Anniversary of the Freedom Riders.

There will be public speakers, music, inflatables, food/merchandise vendors, and more!
Entertainment will include performances by:

• T.A.D. of Jazz
• N 2 Christ
• Sherry Reaves
• The Music Box

After the celebration, join the National Park Service for the 1st showing of their summer movie series, as we honor the 60th Anniversary of the Freedom Rides! Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. This is a day of freedom and liberty. It also serves as an opportunity to thank and celebrate all those who have worked to further the civil rights movement, all who sacrificed to advance the cause, and all of those who continue to work till this day.

Any vendors interested in participating in this event may email Main Street Event Coordinator, Karla Eden, at keden@annistonal.gov.
