Chief Ladiga Trail Ride Offers 100K, 200K and 300K Cycling Routes This Saturday

ANNISTON, AL — Cyclists from across Alabama and neighboring states are invited to participate in the Chief Ladiga Metric/200K/300K Ride on Saturday, June 20, beginning at the Michael Tucker Park/Chief Ladiga Trailhead in Anniston.

Hosted by the Alabama Randonneurs, the event features three distance options along the Chief Ladiga Trail, offering riders a choice of a 100-kilometer, 200-kilometer, or 300-kilometer route.

According to event organizers, an active membership with the Randonneurs USA (RUSA) organization is required for participation in Alabama Randonneur rides. Riders who are not current members must join or renew their membership before registering for the event.

The 200K and 300K rides are scheduled to begin at 5 a.m., while the 100K ride will start at 7 a.m.

Route options include:

  • 100K: Chief Ladiga Trail to the Alabama-Georgia state line and return
  • 200K: Route to Rockmart, Georgia, and back
  • 300K: Route to Smyrna, Georgia, and back

The ride will start from Michael Tucker Park/Chief Ladiga Trailhead, located at 6514 Weaver Road in Anniston.

Participants must first obtain or renew their RUSA membership and then complete event registration through the Alabama Randonneurs registration portal.
