Children’s of Alabama Launches Specialty Car Tag to Support Pediatric Healthcare

Birmingham, AL – After much anticipation, the Children’s of Alabama has officially released its long-awaited specialty car tag, now available for purchase at Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) locations across the state. This initiative allows drivers in Alabama to directly contribute to the mission of Children’s and support the hospital’s commitment to providing top-notch healthcare for pediatric patients.

Grace Graffeo, Community Development Coordinator at Children’s, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response during the tag’s pre-commitment phase. “To get this car tag on the road, we received more than 1,000 pre-commitments from Children’s employees, patient families, supporters, and corporate partners,” she shared. “We are so grateful for their commitment to the children of Alabama. They went the extra mile to support Children’s and help get the car tag to DMVs throughout Alabama.”

The collaboration doesn’t stop there. Several partners across Alabama have pledged to represent the Children’s car tag on their fleet and corporate vehicles. Notable contributors include Landscape Workshop, Express Oil Change and Tire Engineers, Gorrie-Regan, Kid One Transport, and Birmingham Luxury Motors.

The proceeds generated from the sale of this specialty car tag will be directed towards addressing the hospital’s most critical needs, primarily focusing on delivering the best healthcare to pediatric patients hailing from every county in Alabama and across the Southeast.

By choosing the Children’s specialty car tag, Alabama drivers not only display their support for the hospital’s mission but also actively contribute to the well-being of young patients. It’s a tangible way for individuals and corporations alike to make a lasting impact on pediatric healthcare in the region. As these tags hit the road, they serve as a symbol of collective dedication to the children of Alabama and the broader Southeast community. Tags are available at all local tag offices.
