Chill Vibes Only: Kona Ice Keeps Tax Day Cool in Calhoun County with National Chill Out Day

Calhoun County, AL – As tax season reaches its peak, residents across Calhoun County, Alabama, are in for a sweet treat to help beat the stress. Kona Ice, known for its island-themed shaved ice trucks, is once again rolling into town for its annual National “Chill Out” Day.

On this day, Kona Ice trucks will be stationed at various locations across Oxford, Anniston, Jacksonville, Pell City, and Moody. Visitors to the Oxford Civic Center, Anniston Municipal Court, Jacksonville State University, Pell City Municipal Complex, and Moody Municipal Park can enjoy complimentary cups of shaved ice, courtesy of Kona Ice.

National “Chill Out” Day isn’t just about providing a refreshing treat; it’s also about giving back to the community. Kona Ice is committed to supporting local schools and organizations, and each truck participates in fundraisers, donating a portion of its earnings back to the community. With partnerships spanning schools, youth sports leagues, and local organizations, Kona Ice has contributed over $180 million to the communities it serves.

Residents of Oxford, Anniston, Jacksonville, Pell City, and Moody are invited to join Kona Ice for a relaxing break, accompanied by lively tropical tunes. Additionally, interviews will be available with Craig Mattox, Owner of Kona Ice of Calhoun County.

  • Pell City Municipal Complex: 1000 Bruce Etheredge Pkwy, Pell City, AL 35128, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Moody Municipal Park: 600 Park Ave, Moody, AL 35004, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
