      • Mrs. Miller expressed her eagerness to commence work and contribute to the promotion of arts in the region during her address to the council. “I feel truly honored to be here tonight; I have a deep affection for the museum,” she remarked.

    • Resolution adopting Calendar Year 2024 Administrative Fee Schedule – Unanimously Approved
    • Resolution authorizing 1st Amendment to the City of Anniston Agreement with BFI Waste Services, LLC d/b/a Republic Services of Anniston – Unanimously Approved
      • Anniston City Manager Steven Folks assured that there will be no additional expenses incurred by the city.
    • Resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with the State of Alabama Department of Transportation and the City of Anniston for a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) Project No. TAPAA-TA24(918) – Unanimously Approved
      • Thanks to a TAP grant administered through the Alabama Department of Transportation, the city was granted earlier this year, the agreement paves the way for trailhead enhancements at Michael Tucker Park. Situated at 6514 Weaver Road, just south of the city of Weaver, Tucker Park is set to undergo improvements as a result of this collaboration.
    • Resolution of the Mayor and Council of the City of Anniston, Alabama, authorizing an amendment of the Fiscal Year 2024 Annual Action Plan Under the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program – Unanimously Approved
      • Reallocation from from the Cooper Ave Fire Station
    • Resolution authorizing a Professional Services Agreement with Tucson Atlantic Consulting. – Unanimously Approved
      • Purpose to undertake a thorough analysis and assessment of regional development, examining existing resources and identifying potential business ventures, industries, and other opportunities.
    • Motion to approve Shea Miller to Position 9 in the unexpired term ending 10/31/2025 to the Anniston Museums and Garden Board – Unanimously Approved
      • Mrs. Miller spoke to the Calhoun Journal and stated, “The Museum and Gardens are such a treasure in our area and I am truly honored to be a part of the advisory board.”

  • Public Comments
    • Glen Ray – 3514 Dale Hollow Road, Anniston, AL
      • Mr. Ray spoke wanted to give a shoutout to the City Administration and commended the efforts to working together.
    • Richard Jackson – 2317 Noble Street, Anniston, AL – Not present
  • Council Comments
    • Councilwoman Harris stated she wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and stated she hoped they enjoy the parade.
    • Councilwoman Smith echoed the earlier comments from Councilwoman Harris and congratulated the Anniston City Schools on their performance improvements.
    • Councilman Roberts also echoed the rapier comments and then serenaded attendees with a brief song.
    • Mayor Draper had not additional comments.
