Jimmy Harrell has announced that he will be resigning from the Jacksonville City Council effective June 10, 2019. During his three year tenure he helped Jacksonville through a lot of serious issues. When Jacksonville was devastated by the March 2018 Mr. Harrell did everything he could as a person that wears two hats, he was a first responder and he was also a representative of the city.

Mr. Harrell faced many difficult issues presented to the council as a whole but remained steady in his beliefs. He attempted to make sure his votes were for the betterment of the City and not to just secure re-election.

Councilman Harrell stated that the reason for his resigning was due to work related concerns.

Jimmy Harrell will be missed by the City of Jacksonville.
