City of Anniston News Release Ribbon Cutting Wiggins Youth Bike Trails (41323)

Anniston, AL – The city of Anniston announced a Ribbon Cutting: Wiggins Youth Bike Trails. Please join them on Thursday, April 13, as they celebrate the ribbon cutting of the Wiggins Community Center’s newly expanded youth bike trails. The fun will start at 1:30 PM with a free cook-out for the community. Children will start arriving at 2:30 PM to ride the trails, so be sure to bring a bike and your little one. The ribbon cutting will then take place at 3:45 PM on the trails, across from the center at 2202 W 17th St, Anniston, AL 36201

Last year, the Wiggins Center qualified for a grant, with the help of the Northeast Alabama Bicycle Association (NEABA) and the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA). These funds went towards expanding the outdoor bike trails at the center for the kids!

The Wiggins Center hosts after-school and summer biking programs that help local youth learn skills and gain confidence on a bicycle! This program is very popular amongst the kids; therefore, we thank all those who made this effort possible!
