Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston is excited to share news about the upcoming World Changers initiative, set to perform home repairs throughout the month of July. Residents of Anniston are encouraged to spread the word and take advantage of this valuable opportunity.
Interested individuals can obtain application forms at Anniston City Hall, located at 4309 McClellan Blvd, Anniston, AL 36206. Applications can also be requested via mail or downloaded from the following link. All completed applications must be submitted to City Hall by Friday, March 15, 2024, at 4:00 PM CT.
To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet specific criteria: (1) Own the home, (2) Use the home as their primary residence, and (3) Have a 1-story structure. Homeowners are required to attach copies of their property deed and income to the application, as these documents are integral to the application process. It’s important to note that only properties within the city limits of Anniston or Oxford will be considered for eligibility.
The repair focus will be on wheelchair ramps, exterior painting, and deck and porch repairs. It’s essential to highlight that interior and roof work will not be covered due to changes in liability insurance coverage.
