ANNISTON, AL — The City of Anniston and Main Street Anniston will host their annual Arbor Day Tree Giveaway on Thursday, February 12, 2026, offering free trees to community members while supplies last.
The one-hour event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Anniston City Market, located at 114 West 11th Street in Anniston. Organizers say the giveaway is designed to encourage tree planting and environmental stewardship throughout the community.
Thanks to continued support from Alabama Power, a variety of trees will be available at no cost. Residents are encouraged to attend early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Arbor Day Tree Giveaway is part of the city’s ongoing efforts to promote green spaces and enhance the local environment. Community members who plant the trees will contribute to Anniston’s future tree canopy and overall beautification.
Those interested in learning more about the tree species available may contact Doug Gaddy with the City of Anniston for additional details.
The event is free and open to the public.
