Anniston, AL – Per the City of Anniston, please, be aware of three (3) street closures this Saturday, July 1, 2023, related to events happening this downtown:
(1) On Saturday, July 1st, streets around Zinn Park will close for Main Street Anniston’s Model City Jubilee event. The streets to be closed are as follows: West 13th Street to Gurnee Avenue, West 14th Street to Moore Avenue, and Moore Avenue to West 13th Street. The closures will occur at approximately 5:30 AM on 07/01/23, and streets will reopen after 2:30 PM.
(2) On Saturday, June 1st, West 11th Street, from its intersections with Gurnee Avenue to its intersection with Moore Avenue, will be closed for the Anniston Downtown Market from approximately 6:00 AM until 12:00 PM. Please note, this street closure may reoccur on future Saturdays for the Market. Thus, please be aware of this closure each Saturday until the market ends in the Fall.
(3) On Saturday, June 1st, Noble Street, from its intersection with 12th Street to its intersection with 13th Street, will be closed for an event being hosted by SRV Guitars (1211 Noble St, Anniston, AL 36201). The street will close at 10:00 AM and reopen at 7:00 PM.
Lastly, please keep in mind that crosswalk improvements are being made at the intersection of 11th Street and Noble Street. The work is nearly complete; however, citizens should expect the closure to last through the first week of July (estimated to be complete by July 3rd) due to slight delays in the project.
