PIedmont-City-Council-

Piedmont, AL – During the Tuesday evening Piedmont City Work Session, Mayor Bill Baker brought up Ryan Shubird CPA from Jackson Thornton in Montgomery, Alabama. First, Shubird got right into the Electrical Cost of Service Study for Piedmont. He has been working on the 2023 Electric Cost of Service Study for 12 months ending in September 2023.

This identifies revenue stability and sufficiency, fairness and equity, and the ability of the customers to understand simple rates. This is an in-depth study that can tell the Council what the citizens of Piedmont are paying and what the future of the electrical cost will be. It was 50 minutes later when Shubird finished up with his lengthy rate study with the Council.
