Anniston, AL — In a heartwarming display of community solidarity, a fundraiser was organized on Saturday, May 18th, to support St. Michael’s Clinic, a faith-based non-profit clinic providing healthcare for low-income, uninsured residents of Calhoun County. The clinic, known for its dedication to serving vulnerable populations regardless of background, received a significant boost thanks to the initiative led by Chad Sanders.

Sanders, the mastermind behind the fundraiser, generously donated crawfish and equipment for the event, which ultimately raised over $7,500 for St. Michael’s. Despite his pivotal role, Sanders humbly avoided seeking personal recognition, instead attributing the success to Three Dudes, his former business, for supplying the idea and resources. He also praised the band, Highland Grove, for donating 100% of their proceeds to the cause, highlighting the collaborative spirit that drove the fundraiser’s success.

Adding to the event’s success, 10% of the day’s sales at Sinclair Social, where the event was hosted, were also donated to St. Michael’s, contributing to the total amount raised. This gesture further exemplified the community’s collective effort to support the clinic.

Ben Miller, one of the co-owners of Sinclair Social, emphasized the importance of the event while shedding light on his establishment’s broader mission. Miller underscored Sinclair Social’s commitment to creating a family-friendly environment and contributing to the growth of downtown Anniston. He stressed the need for collective efforts among businesses and community leaders to enhance the city’s appeal and ensure its prosperity.

Miller further outlined Sinclair Social’s dedication to philanthropy, citing their sponsorship of the upcoming Woodstock race and their ongoing search for opportunities to give back to the community. Through initiatives like the fundraiser for St. Michael’s Clinic, Sinclair Social aims to play a significant role in uplifting downtown Anniston and fostering a spirit of generosity among its residents.

The fundraiser not only provided essential financial support for St. Michael’s Clinic but also showcased the power of community collaboration and the shared commitment to improving the lives of those in need. As Anniston continues to grow and thrive, initiatives like these serve as shining examples of the collective strength and compassion of its residents.
