OXFORD, AL – Conserve Calhoun is set to host a Food and Farm Tour on Thursday, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning at the Oxford Civic Center. The event aims to spotlight the essential role agriculture and conservation play in the region by offering participants a guided tour of local farms, area organizations, and businesses involved in agriculture-related work.
The tour is designed to highlight the diversity of the region’s agricultural landscape, showcasing sustainable farming practices, conservation efforts, and the variety of products produced locally—from fresh produce to meats and specialty items.
Organizers say the event is an opportunity to build awareness of the connections between farming, conservation, and the broader community. The tour will include stops at various farms and businesses, with insights into how they contribute to both the local economy and environmental stewardship.
Participation is free, but registration is required, and space is limited. Interested individuals can sign up online through Conserve Calhoun’s registration form.
