Coosa Riverkeeper Hosts C.R.E.E.K. Farm and Food Event at Coldwater Mountain Brewpub

Anniston, AL – Join Coosa Riverkeeper for an engaging and educational experience at the C.R.E.E.K. Farm and Food workshop on October 22, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Coldwater Mountain Brewpub, located at 1208 Walnut Ave, Anniston, AL. This free event is designed for families and will focus on the process of growing produce and promoting healthy eating habits.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about farming while enjoying hands-on activities like tossing a salad and painting pumpkins. The workshop aims to instill healthy eating habits in children and parents alike, making it both fun and informative. In addition to the cooking and painting activities, attendees will receive a guided tour of the Brewpub’s garden, offering a firsthand look at local produce cultivation. This immersive experience encourages families to appreciate the connection between food and farming.

Dress code for the event is weather-appropriate clothing. In case of inclement weather, Coosa Riverkeeper will contact registrants to reschedule. The event is free of charge, and parents are encouraged to stay during the workshop.
