Fatal Crash in Anniston Takes Life of Man

Anniston, AL – Per the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), a single-vehicle crash at approximately 9:06 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, has claimed the life of a Talladega man. Jacoby E. Dickerson, 27, was critically injured when the 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned, before striking a retaining wall. Dickerson was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was ejected. Dickerson was transported to Regional Medical Center in Anniston, where he later succumbed to his injuries. The crash occurred on Saks Road, approximately one mile north of Anniston, in Calhoun County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
