Anniston, AL – A new opportunity for hands-on learning and wildlife education is coming to the Anniston area as Creature Feature Saturday returns to Anniston Museums and Gardens on Saturday, Feb. 14.
The program will take place from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the museum campus located on Museum Drive in Anniston, AL. Hosted monthly on the second Saturday, Creature Feature Saturday offers visitors a chance to meet and learn about one of the museum’s animal ambassadors during an interactive presentation inside the exhibit halls.
The Anniston Museums and Gardens is home to a variety of live reptiles, mammals, and birds, and each month’s featured animal varies. Organizers note that attendees “never know who will be featured,” adding an element of surprise to the educational program.
The one-hour experience is designed to provide guests with up-close encounters and information about the care, behavior, and habitats of the animals that reside at the museum. The program is included with regular museum admission and is free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members.
Creature Feature Saturday continues as an ongoing monthly offering, giving residents and visitors regular opportunities to explore the museum’s living collection and learn more about wildlife conservation and education.
