Creepy Camp at Cottaquilla

Anniston, AL – Saturday, October 22nd at 10am with be the Creepy Camp at Cottaquilla. This event is by the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama. There’s Creepy and there’s kooky, all together Spooky, it’s Creepy Camp Cottaquilla!! This event is for all Girl Scouts and Registered Adults*.

Check-in starts at 8 am with the Opening Ceremony beginning promptly at 8:30 am at the Flag Circle. Closing ceremony is scheduled for 4 pm at the Flag Circle.

This annual event offers Halloween-themed games, crafts and other Camp Activities. Girls will be split into their own age groups for the activities. You’ll learn to shoot slingshots at ghosts and goblins, take aim with archery while fighting the zombies, canoe the swamp, go on a Spooky Scavenger Hunt and take scary selfies with your Ghoul Scout Sisters. And do not forget our Annual Cottaquilla Animal Show.
Dress is standard camp attire of closed toe/heeled shoes, No Sandals of any kind, or flip flops. Hats and bandannas are also good to have. Don’t forget your refillable water bottles and bug spray for the creatures of the forest. Most activities take place outside so a sweatshirt or light jacket may be needed also.
Cost is $30 per person (girls and adults) and includes an event t-shirt and bag, all activities, snack, lunch, and a CREEPY patch to remember the fun time!

**This event is for the girls and space is limited so no tagalongs. Strict girl to adult ratio per troop should be adhered to. All adults attending must be registered with Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama. Due to limited space inside the building and other locations around camp there will be areas that will be girl only along with the Adults leading the group. All other adults will have to remain outside of the building or outside the activity boundaries. Parking is limited, so please carpool with your troop as much as possible.**
