The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is actively treating Interstate 20 from the Georgia state line to the Logan Martin Bridge.

County-Specific Updates:

  • Calhoun County:
    • All city roadways in the county are closed, as confirmed by the Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency (EMA).
    • Jacksonville city roads are impassable.
    • Alabama 77 to Alabama 144, from the Etowah County line, is iced over.
    • All county roads are covered with snow and ice.
  • Clay County:
    • All roadways are covered with snow and ice, creating hazardous driving conditions.
  • Cleburne County:
    • Roadways across the county are coated with snow and ice.
  • Randolph County:
    • Snow and ice have made roads dangerous for travel throughout the county.
  • Talladega County:
    • Childersburg city roads are closed.
    • U.S. 280 near Merkel Mountain is nearly impassable, according to local officials.
