Cutter’s Pizzeria Speaks Out About DoorDash Fees

Cutter Pizzeria

Cutter’s Pizzeria is a small, locally owned and operated business with two locations in Alexandria and Oxford, Alabama. Cutter’s Pizzeria started out using DoorDash shortly after opening their first location. The fee was discounted after careful negotiation, but recently that ended.

Cutter’s Pizzeria, like many other local businesses, pays 30% on every order that’s placed through the DoorDash app. Like many other restaurants has had to increase menu prices on the doordash app. Many consumers don’t realize that the higher prices they see when ordering are due to DoorDash taking 30% of sales from orders made through their app. On top of that, consumers pay taxes, delivery fees, and other fees making their order even more expensive than average.

Cutter’s Pizzeria is looking for other solutions to avoid paying such high fees. In Alexandria, Cutter’s has started using a new delivery service, Jack Rabbit, which charges 10% rather than 30%, making the service much more cost effective creating a better experience for customers and Cutter’s. Aside from this, Cutter’s is letting customers know that they can call or order online at cutterspizzeria.com to get delivery for a low flat delivery fee.

Ordering directly through the pizzeria, DoorDash only charges Cutter’s Pizzeria a small fee which is vastly cheaper than the original 30% fee just because customers use the DoorDash app. This helps Cutter’s Pizzeria continue to support our community.
