Anniston, AL – The Back to School Fashion Show at Dillard’s in Quintard Mall was a vibrant event on Saturday, July 27th, bringing excitement and style to the community. The show, which is part of Dillard’s Kids Day events held three times a year, focused on empowering children by giving them a platform to showcase their fashion and personal styles.
The event, captured on video by Shasta Jones, featured young models strutting down the runway in the latest back-to-school trends. The kids’ outfits ranged from trendy cargo pants and activewear to a nostalgic boho seventies vibe, reflecting the diverse tastes and styles of today’s youth.
“Kids Day is a time for kids to build their self-confidence, to have a little fun, and just show who they are with their fashion and personal styles,” explained an organizer. The fashion show provided a space for children to express themselves and embrace their unique fashion choices.
One young participant shared her excitement, saying, “Tell me about your outfit today. It looks pretty, and I like it. And it’s really pink. What are you gonna do out there today? I’m gonna do some poses.” Another model reflected on her experience, “Modeling was very, very scary. When I was up there, I learned to run. It’s so fun. I still do. I’m going to do it next year.”
The event was not only about fashion but also about building self-esteem and having fun. The children enjoyed showing off their outfits and practicing their runway poses, making memories that will last a lifetime.
Dillard’s Back to School Fashion Show 2024 was a resounding success, highlighting the importance of self-expression and confidence in young people as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
